Policies
These policies explain how Noblara works in plain language. They were last reviewed on 2 November 2026. [TO CONFIRM: remove this bracket once a qualified adviser has reviewed these policies.]
Eligibility Policy
Effective date: 2 November 2026
1. Purpose
This policy explains which organizations can receive free support from Noblara and how we check eligibility. It exists so that our limited time goes to registered public-benefit organizations, and so that every applicant is treated by the same rules.
2. Who is eligible
An organization is eligible if it:
- is officially registered as a nonprofit, charity, trust, society, NGO or equivalent with a government authority in its country;
- operates on a nonprofit basis for a charitable or public-benefit purpose;
- can give us a registration number, tax ID or certificate we can check; and
- agrees to our Non-Commercial Use Policy.
3. Who is not eligible
- Individuals, including personal or medical fundraising for one person.
- For-profit businesses, including social enterprises and community interest companies that are not registered as nonprofits or charities. [TO CONFIRM: exclusion of UK community interest companies (CICs).]
- Political parties, candidates, election campaigns and organizations whose main purpose is partisan political activity.
- Groups that are not yet registered, or whose registration is pending, suspended or revoked.
- Government departments, local authorities and other public bodies.
- United States projects that operate only under a fiscal sponsor and do not have their own 501(c)(3) status. The sponsoring charity may apply on the project's behalf if the work serves the sponsor's charitable purpose. [TO CONFIRM]
- Any organization that is subject to sanctions, or whose activities are unlawful where it operates.
Faith-based organizations are eligible when they are registered nonprofits and the support is for their charitable services. [TO CONFIRM: whether there are limits, for example on content whose main purpose is worship or religious instruction.]

5. How we verify
- We check the number you give us against the official public register for your country wherever one exists.
- We may ask you to email a copy of your registration certificate or letter. We use it only to verify your registration (see the Privacy Policy).
- The organization's legal name and registration details must match the register. Small differences, such as a trading name, are fine if you explain them.
- If we can't verify your registration, we will tell you what's missing. We may decline the application if it still can't be verified.
6. Ongoing eligibility
If a partner organization's registration lapses, is suspended or is revoked during a project, we pause the work. Anything already built remains the organization's property.
7. Capacity and waitlist
Meeting this policy makes an organization eligible; it doesn't guarantee support. We review complete applications in the order received. When we're at capacity, eligible applicants go on a waitlist in that same order, and we tell them.
8. Decisions and reapplying
We explain every decline. You can reply to ask us to review the decision, and a different team or board member will look at it. You may reapply at any time once your situation changes, for example after your registration is granted.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 November 2026
1. Who we are
Noblara Organization ("Noblara", "we") is responsible for the personal information you give us through our application form and by email. Contact: [contact email TO CONFIRM]. Postal address: [TO CONFIRM].
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through the "Apply for Support" form on noblara.org, documents you send us to verify your registration, and our emails and calls with you about an application or project.
3. What we collect
- About your organization: legal name, country, registration authority and number, year registered, mission, who you serve, website, the services you need and your goals. This is mostly organizational information, not personal information.
- About the contact person: name, role, email address and, if you choose to give it, phone number.
- How you heard about us, if you tell us.
- Verification documents you send us, such as a registration certificate.
- Project information shared during a project, such as content for your website.
We don't ask for sensitive personal information such as health, religious belief or financial details about individuals, and we ask you not to include it in the form.
4. Why we use it
We use this information only to:
- assess whether your organization is eligible;
- verify your registration;
- contact you about your application, scoping call and project;
- keep a record of the organizations we have supported, for our board's annual review; and
- meet any legal obligations we have.
For people in the UK or European Union, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a fair support program for nonprofits, and taking steps you have asked us to take before working together.
5. What we never do
We never sell, rent or trade your information. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
6. Who we share it with
Your information is seen only by Noblara's team and volunteers who need it to review your application or work on your project. We use a small number of service providers to run our website, form and email, who process information for us under their own data protection terms: [TO CONFIRM: list providers, for example website host, form provider, email provider]. We share information with others only if the law requires it.
7. International transfers
Our team and service providers may be located in countries other than yours, including [TO CONFIRM: countries, e.g. Pakistan and the United States]. Where this happens, we choose providers that protect information to a standard appropriate to the law that applies to you.
8. How long we keep it
- Applications that don't go ahead (declined, withdrawn or not verified): deleted 12 months after our decision.
- Waitlisted applications: kept while you are on the waitlist, and deleted 12 months after you leave it.
- Partner organizations: kept for the length of the project and 3 years after handover, so we can answer questions about the work and report to our board.
- Copies of registration certificates: deleted once verification is complete; we keep only a note that verification was done and on what date.
9. How we keep it safe
Access is limited to the people who need it, accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and we don't keep information in personal email accounts or unencrypted shared folders.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information (if we're in the middle of a project, deleting the contact person's details may mean we can't continue);
- stop using your information for a particular purpose.
Email [contact email TO CONFIRM]. We'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
12. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. [TO CONFIRM: if any analytics tool is added, name it here and explain what it collects.]
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we'll tell the people affected by email.
Non-Commercial Use Policy
Effective date: 2 November 2026
1. Purpose
Noblara gives its support free so that it serves charitable work. This policy sets out how that support may and may not be used. Every applicant agrees to it, and it applies to all work we deliver.
2. Permitted use
Work we deliver (websites, content, chatbots, accounts and setups) may be used only to advance the partner organization's registered charitable or public-benefit purpose. This includes raising donations, recruiting volunteers, informing the public, and selling goods or services whose proceeds fund the charitable purpose, such as a charity shop, event tickets or a donation page.
3. Not permitted
- Resale. Reselling, sublicensing or charging anyone for work we delivered free.
- Commercial use. Using our work mainly to run or promote a for-profit business, including a trading company, commercial subsidiary or a business owned by a trustee, director or staff member.
- Transfer to others. Handing our work to another organization that is not eligible under our Eligibility Policy.
- Partisan political activity. Using our work to support or oppose any political party, candidate for public office or election campaign, or to raise funds for one. Non-partisan public information about your cause and lawful advocacy on issues are fine where the law that applies to you allows them.
- Unlawful or harmful use. Using our work for anything unlawful where you operate, for misleading fundraising, or to collect personal information without a lawful basis.
4. Ownership and handover
- The partner organization owns everything we create for it: the domain name, hosting account, website code and files, written content, data, chatbot knowledge base and all platform accounts.
- Accounts are created in the partner organization's name, using an email address the organization controls.
- While we work, we use access the organization grants to us. We do not create accounts in Noblara's name that the organization depends on.
- At handover we give the organization all login details and documentation, run a training session, and then remove our own access. We do not keep passwords afterwards.
- Where we use open-source or third-party tools, their own licenses apply. We choose tools the organization can keep using without us.
5. Costs from other providers
Our work is free. Some providers charge fees, such as domain renewals, paid hosting or AI usage fees for a chatbot. We tell you about any such cost before you agree to anything. These are paid by the partner organization directly to the provider, in its own name. Noblara never resells services or adds a margin.
6. Credit
We may list a partner organization's name and a link to its website on noblara.org, only with its permission. Any "Built with Noblara" credit on your site is optional, and you may remove it.
7. Support after handover
For [TO CONFIRM: number of days, e.g. 30 days] after handover, we fix any errors in our own work at no cost. After that, the organization is responsible for its site and accounts. It is welcome to apply again for new work.
8. Our work is provided as is
We do our work carefully and in good faith, but we can't guarantee that a site will never fail, that a search ranking will rise, or that a platform such as Google or GoFundMe will approve an application. We are not responsible for decisions made by third-party platforms.
9. If this policy is breached
If we believe our work is being used in breach of this policy, we will raise it with the organization first. If it isn't resolved, we may end our support and decline future applications. We will never delete, disable or withhold an organization's website, data or accounts as a penalty.
